Basketball

 

Looking forward to the Community Games this year, which will take place in the CBS gym at the end of April..

 We have two strong teams from Naas East and Naas West. Training is taking place every Friday in St. Mary's gym; ask Mrs Smyth for details. Huge thanks to Jennifer for coaching the East team!

The girls in action against Ballysax in Newbridge

 

 

 

 

The Final: Hard luck to the school team who came a very commendable second place in the final of the Cumann na mBunscoil large schools league against Ballysax on Thursday 9th of February. Ballysax 14 - Naas 4

The Semi Final: Well done on an unbelievable come back to beat Athgarvan 35-34. This was an amazing achievement considering we were 8-20 down after the first leg!

Great win against Rathangan 42-6

Camogie

Camogie continues on Fridays after school in the secondary school. Meet at our gym at 2.45pm. Ms O'Keefe and Ms Madigan are looking for new recruits from fourth to sixth. All welcome!

Football

Training for this year's team has started!  Mrs Carr will put pupils through their paces every Tuesday after school. Matches starting soon!Watch this space.....

Last season......The school senior football team played five football matches in the Division 1 League . They won two of these matches and were unlucky to be narrowly defeated in the other three. All of the games were very close and exciting and great credit is due to the girls who played their best in every match.

Thanks to Mrs. Carr for all her time and effort coaching the teams on Tuesdays and bringing them to all their matches.

Athletics

Twelve runners will represent the school  March in Hawkfield. More details to follow....

Large schools blitz on  30th March in Kilcullen

 

Some of the highly successful 2003/2004 basketball team winning the large school blitz and retaining the trophy. They also came second to Athgarvan in the large schools section of the league.
